Founder of Real Food Cook & Michelle Boyd Business Buddy
Michelle Boyd brings a rare blend of corporate experience, culinary creativity, and grounded business know-how to the Tammy’s Table community in her role of Membership and Meeting Support.
Before stepping into entrepreneurship, Michelle was the Team Leader and National Workflow Coordinator for Fiserv, working with the Big 4 banks across Australia and India, and was twice awarded Employee of the Year for her outstanding leadership. Seeking a change of pace that aligned with her cookbook hoarding hobby, she retrained in commercial cookery and followed her passion for real food and community connection.
Michelle has since built several thriving small businesses from the ground up. She served the local community as the owner of Barista in the Sun, offering great coffee with genuine connection. Michelle went on to create Yum Hugs, a bespoke catering service known for its sweet treat grazing boxes and thoughtful presentation which thrived throughout the COVID period. Running her own businesses in conjunction with her role as a Thermomix® Team Leader and Consultant since 2018, she has also led and mentored teams helping others build flexible, food-focused businesses. 2024 saw Michelle launch Real Food Cook providing inspiration to cook easily, seasonally and on budget through social media and in person Thermomix® demonstrations.
Today, Michelle is proud to support people starting and growing micro businesses, paying close attention to those navigating new chapters in life and work with her new venture, Michelle Boyd Business Buddy.
With lived experience caring for her husband through cancer treatment, Michelle deeply understands the emotional and financial push-pull between family, health, and earning an income. She offers practical, compassionate assistance rooted in real life and personal insight. Whether you’re dreaming of your first stall at a market, launching a side hustle, or figuring out how to turn your skills into income, Michelle is your guide as someone who’s been through it and can help you navigate the maze of small business.
